She is finally here!! Leslie, Brandon, and Claire want to thank their families for the support and encouragement over the last nine months. Claire Margaret was born on Christmas Eve 2008 at 12:45am. After laboring for 30 hours, Leslie wonderfully delivered her at 8 lbs. 15 oz, 21" long. The delivery lasted less than 20 minutes, but Claire was more than worth the long labor.

It looks like...
Here is the latest 3D ultrasound picture.
Hopefully the next picture will be of us holding our little one.
Sleepy baby; takes after Leslie!

Heck yes we're ready!
Baby Peacock is almost here. We found out this week that there is a good chance the baby will be here no later than Christmas and as soon as the 15th. Eight months have gone by anticipating a New Year's baby, and when we get word that he or she could be here in less than two weeks....it has us scrambling to say the least. But like I said to Leslie, "Our TO DO list has never been short, so why should this be any different."
No worries; we are confident that we will be great parents (our cat and dog think so).

Thumbs Up!
Leslie here - tuning in to write my first post! It has been nearly a month since an update so here I am to give you a dose of what is going on with Baby Peacock.
We had a 4-D Ultrasound done, which was amazing. The baby is growing at a rapid pace and everything is where it is supposed to:) Although, we aren't sure about the private areas because we gave strict instructions that we did NOT want to know the sex. The baby loves sucking it's thumb and has given us quite a few shots of a "thumbs up" Here is a pic to prove it...

Everything is moving along smoothly. Brandon is getting all of his freedom activites out of the way, including a night at BW3's with John Arzner and a bachelor party for Brad William's. Wabash football starts this weekend so you can also catch us there tailgating (as we will be doing for all home games). Stop by and rub the belly for some good luck!

Fingernails, Eyebrows, and Hiccups
Leslie's sickness is starting to fade away and it is definitely, at least 10x better than the first few weeks. Brandon keeps telling her to think positive thoughts; easier said than done when your head is in the toilet.
Other than that everyone is doing great. Layla thinks Mommy smells funny, and can strangely tell that there is more to her than meets the eye!!
We have our 16 week appointment tomorrow with Doctor Anderson. A couple more visits and we will be able to hopefully share the DVD with the 3D ultrasound. Start taking bets now, because we have decided to wait until birth to find out if it is a boy or a girl.

Good Food
The grill tonight just looked too good!! Brandon had to have a picture for his scrapbook.

Menu: Grilled roma tomatoes with garlic basil relish, grilled slices of eggplant drizzled with olive oil and peppered oregano, grilled Indiana sweet corn, and grilled breasts of chicken. The nights theme?? Grilling.

Smokin' Some Pork
No rain today!! The clouds lifted and the day began at 8am as Brandon broke in his smoker. After 10 hours of smoking and slow cooking, the pulled pork was amazing. The ribs were in the cooker for 6 hours and their flavor rivaled that of the pork butt.
By 7pm we were sharing a table outside with Dad and Cheryl. In the words of Ice Cube..."It was a good day."

7 More Months
If you have been living under a rock in Crawfordsville, or perhaps you do not live in Crawfordsville at all, chances are you have not received news that Leslie is seven weeks pregnant.
_
Come this December 31st, Leslie could be learning to share her birthday. Leslie has always said that she will be 27 years old before having her first child. Brandon's pulling for a 2008 delivery in order to rake in the tax deduction.
Leslie has battled the morning sickness, enjoyed longer than usual naps, and relished in not having to clean Sprout's litter box.
_
The baby is just the size of a grain of rice.
